Holiday Stay with Stanford Court SF

I’m back for the holidays and it feels so so good to be home. I have a love-hate relationship with SF, as I’m sure everyone does with the place they call home. . .but nothing like humble beginnings to bring you back to reality right?

For this trip, I partnered with Stanford Court, a hotel nestled in SF’s Nob Hill. Upon first glance, it’s simple and unassuming, but offers a great selection of amenities. Our room had an amazing view of the TransAmerica Pyramid, an iconic scene for anyone coming to SF. In the morning, we were greeted by Karl the Fog (what natives call the heavy rush of fog that rolls in every morning). Right outside our window were cable cars powering up and down the hills and festive Christmas decorations around the property that just melted my heart.

We got settled in our room before heading out for dinner. My favorite features were definitely the towel warmer and the pillow service. Picky about where you rest your head? Choose from any of their three pillow options for maximum comfort. Downstairs has an intimate space that includes: the bar, restaurant, co-working space, and lounge areas.

Our itinerary was loose and spontaneous, which ended up being a really great night. My holiday stay with Stanford Court couldn’t be more perfect because the location is prime, which makes it easy to explore the city. It’s conveniently located to all the must-see neighborhoods in SF like Chinatown and Downtown Union Square.

We drove to North Beach to try Sotto Mare, a seafood joint that’s bustling with locals and tourists alike. We ordered the Linguine with Clams, their famous Cioppino for two to share (and an alarming amount of bread on the side). The cioppino serving was so massive we brought some back as leftovers for later. Seafood not your jam? Golden Boy pizza is an epic late night spot in the area that people can’t seem to stay away from. Personally, I don’t think the pizza is THAT amazing, but it’s definitely a place to check out and see for yourself. HINT: they’re known for their garlic clam pizza. Later that night, my friend invited us to see Dababy at The Warfield and we couldn’t refuse. Finally, we called it a night but not before leaving without a bacon-wrapped hot dog!
